Terms & Conditions
- The breeding season starts January 1 and ends August 15 of each year.
- Fresh, Frozen and chilled is available. The shipping of the semen is done by T.N,T and G.P.O.
- The cost of shipment is to be paid by the brood mare owner.
- A copy of the pedigree certification and the result of the swab testing must be submitted to Holden fold when ordering semen for dispatch.
- If the mare has not become pregnant, a reduction on the covering fee of 50 percent will be given for the same mare in the following year when using the same stallion, if available.
- Empty mares must produce a vet certification of evidence before 1st September of the breeding year.
- In the event that there is no fresh semen available due to sporting commitments of the stallion, frozen semen is available as an alternative.
All used and unused semen straws, must be returned to Holden Fold Dressage & Stud ,at customer cost.
- The ordering of the semen for the following day has to be done by 9am the previous day, (Monday - Friday only) Saturday delivery incurs extra cost.
- The shipment container for the fresh semen has to be returned immediately after the covering of the mare has taken place.
- A certificate of covering the mare will be issued on confirmation by an authorised vet. In case of using the same stallion for several mares a price discount can be arranged.
- Since the stallions are in daily training and participate in horse shows, they can only be presented to visitors of the stud with prior appointment.
- On confirmation of pregnancy and discharge from the stud by the veterinary surgeon the health and well being of the in-foal mare and achievement of a successful birth is the sole responsibility of the owner.
- All stallions available by fresh, chilled and frozen semen.
- Mares are being bred at your own risk. it is the responsibility of the mare owner to ensure the horse is fit and healthy for breeding.
